Por un sistema alimentario más justo y sostenible

For a fairer and more sustainable food system

More than 47,000 people participated and more than 200 actions were carried out in Catalonia and Madrid

Today we mark the next step in a shared journey of learning, cooperation, and transformation. The Feeding Inclusion project, driven by Heliconia and Fundación Espigoladors , Agrícola Salvia , and es im-perfect® , has been much more than an initiative: it has been a commitment to demonstrating that it is possible to build more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient local agri-food systems.

During this time, we have achieved:
• 45,723 people participated in workshops, talks, training sessions, fairs and markets.
• 210 actions developed in Catalonia and the Community of Madrid, to raise awareness, train and innovate in the transition towards a sustainable food model.
• Modernization of production methods with sustainability and circular economy criteria.
• Quality job opportunities for people in vulnerable situations, strengthening employability and social inclusion.

A triple-impact project

Environmental. We have contributed to reducing food waste and promoting the circular economy in the production and processing of fresh food.

Social. Spaces for inclusion and employability have been created for groups at risk of exclusion, strengthening social cohesion.

Economic . Inter-cooperation between social economy entities has been strengthened, reinforcing projects with a real impact on the territory.

Looking to the future

This closure doesn't signify an end, but a new beginning. We have demonstrated that collaboration between social organizations, social enterprises, and citizens multiplies the impact and paves the way for a fairer food system.

We will continue working to:

  • Reduce food waste.
  • Create more inclusive job opportunities.
  • Raising awareness in society about responsible consumption habits.

Thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey: participants, organizations, government agencies, and communities. Together, we have shown that another way of feeding ourselves and organizing ourselves is possible.

With the support of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and funding from the European Union – Next Generation EU.
